Some of you were wondering what I am talking about the short 160 I wrote:

Both photos were Pamukkale meaning Cotton Castles in Turkish  and it is a real place to visit and very magical, overlooking a lush green valley of Turkey's Inner Aegean region, in the River Menderes valley, which has a temperate climate for most of the year, where people go to sit in the pools of hot water.  This is such a beautiful place to learn more about it and see other photos go here to wikipedia.

  14. The photographs are wonderful, and your beautiful, dreamy 160 compliments them perfectly. It certainly looks like a marvellous place, I would love to go there some day.

I think the sentiment of this piece is very profound, you capture the beauty of becoming a child once more and seeing the world in the way only a child can. It reminds of that great Picasso quote, " All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."

  31. OH, my son just asked me this the other day. We were playing candy land and asked if there were cotton candy clouds that could take him up to his cotton candy castle in the sky! Sniff, now he's headed to preschool. I'm very much living childhood dreams these days...and I'm trying not to wake up :)

  32. What a fabulous post. The poem and pix are just stunning. . . as is Pamukkale. A poem worthy of the lovely site. (No. Haven't been just read about it and have seen pic's. Did you know that Los Vegas is sister city?? Haven't been their either!)

    Happy day ....
