Good Morning My Love!

Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along." Rumi

Sometimes in the
very early hours

When the morning
light is just perfect

The air crisp and cold
I sit within the day

And ride the wind
that stirs the strings
of my soul.

the air crisp and cold,

I sit within the day
and ride the wind
that stirs
the strings of my soul.

  1. The strings of the soul tug when we don't expect it to. Probably that is why it is priceless.

Early morning is a splendid time to revel in oneself.

    Joy always,
    Susan

  12. Joanny - absolutely beautiful poem. I loved seeing the Portland photos. Makes me feel close to my two eldest kids that live there. I think we never get too old to sit in a swing and soar!

Wishing you a carefree Sunday xx

  14. What a toe tingler that last picture is. I see myself on a roof-top swing, forgetting I can't fly, and letting go at the worst time.

  18. there are indeed those moments that seem to be caught between heaven and earth...and if we are so very blessed to find them, we can indeed ride the wind. it is only from those who are open to the moment, such as you dear Joanny...that such visions of loveliness can spill...!!

  32. Dear Joanny,

That first line needs to be relived nearing Valentines Day! I love it!! And the swing image over the city makes me really, really want to get photoshop. This read makes me think of the times I have had with my husband, either before kids or on vacation. You prove that being romantic, is not hopeless :)

    XO,

    Kel
