Crossing That Bridge -- when we come to it. . .

We all cross over it --  No exceptions. -- When we step onto the bridge,  we are starting on a new beginning- When we reach the opposite shore - We have taken our first steps into adulthood. Eager youth full of wonderment of what lies before-- taking some last minute looks of what we left behind.  Fairy tales and happy endings are a thing of the past - our past --  lost in 'Once Upon a Time'  ---we move with the flow of time -- for in movement there is life ever flowing onward.

It is in the stillness of the night that our dreams beckon us to leave the nest --to let go,  it is time to make our own way , have adventures - see the world, to have courage and dare to experience and reach beyond what we thought possible.

My son crossed that bridge today-- I have no advice to offer him -- for it is through experiencing life that we truly live.  The one thing that I do offer is 'all life is sacred' treat life with respect, honor mother earth for she will nurture you and sustain you-- honor god's laws and you will have no regrets.

  3. Love the quote -- and, of course, as your son crosses that bridge, so will you cross one too. Our children's milestones mark our own lives.
